This summer a group of pupils from Years 10 and 11 will be joined by staff and parents to undertake an epic 800 mile cycle challenge from Dover in the South East corner of Britain, to Durness in the far North West of Scotland. The challenge will take 12 days with a cycling journey of between 60 and 80 miles each day, and an overnight camp. The team are raising funds for Pendleside Hospice which exists to promote and enhance quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers. They rely heavily on local charity support and we are proud to offer our help with a fundraising target of £5000. You can support our cause by making a donation via our justgiving page www.justgiving.com/page/d2d or by scanning the QR code on the banners around school, and by sharing our posts. Today the team received delivery of their shirts, kindly sponsored by Avire, James’ Places, Whittle Logistics, Todds Pharmacy Padiham, Bowland Vets, and Pierce Financial.
